Melanie Sclar is a visiting researcher at Meta AI and a PhD student at the University of Washington. Her research focuses on quantifying and improving the reasoning abilities of language models, both in general and for specific tasks, with a special interest in theory of mind. Her work has been published in leading artificial intelligence conferences, including an Outstanding Paper Award at ACL 2023 and a Spotlight Paper at NeurIPS 2023, among others.
