On Solvable Evolution Algebras and a Conjecture by García-Martínez and Pérez-Rodríguez

October 02, 2026

Abstract

We study finite-dimensional solvable evolution algebras, that is, evolution algebras for which their derived series terminates at zero. We disprove a conjecture by García-Martínez and Pérez-Rodríguez. Then, in terms of idempotent subspaces, we propose a novel characterization of solvable evolution algebras as well as of evolution algebras without nonzero idempotent elements. We remark on the use of AI in this research, see Statement of AI Use.
