Advances in generative artificial intelligence or GenAI are disrupting traditional business processes and, thereby, driving unprecedented efficiency improvements and transforming user roles. As enterprises experiment with GenAI, it can be challenging to stay abreast of unexpected developments brought on by its applications.
Open source levels the playing field by driving collaboration, transparency, and innovation at scale and speed. Open source GenAI accentuates these outcomes by helping enterprise ecosystems build, iterate, and release solutions that meet end-user needs in an intelligent and responsive manner.
AI for everyone
Some of the key use cases enabled through Llama 3.1 include document processing and analysis of videos, audio files, images, and structured data. Infosys developers are elevating the company’s offering portfolio with interaction-based, responsive, and flexible GenAI solutions for processing documents, such as contracts, invoices, purchase orders, research documents, and training videos.
Similarly, RAG systems enhance output reliability by citing sources, thereby boosting user trust. With Llama 3.1, this has spearheaded the creation of the GenAI-based Infosys Document Assistant, a solution that will be rolled out across graphical processing unit (GPU) clusters for internal users as well as clients. The solution will provide users with cutting-edge GenAI capabilities for document processing, while ensuring security and confidentiality.
With its open-source foundation, Llama 3.1 is helping make GenAI innovation accessible to Infosys, benefiting its internal operations as well as customer organizations.
