At Meta, we're passionate about harnessing the transformative potential of generative AI. We firmly believe that startups hold the keys to unlocking groundbreaking innovations in this rapidly evolving field, and we want to ensure that they have the resources they need to help accelerate innovation. In May, we announced the Llama Startup Program, a new initiative to empower early-stage startups to innovate and build generative AI applications with Llama. Today, we’re joining forces with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to announce a new program that will provide resources and support to 30 promising startups in the U.S. that are building with Llama.

Why we’re collaborating with AWS

Together, we want to support startups in achieving faster growth and driving innovation on Llama. We’ve already seen the incredible impact Llama has had across industries, including healthcare, marketing, finance, sports, and more. As more startups have the resources and support they need to push the limits of these models, we believe they’ll pioneer new use cases that could benefit more people.

“Foundation models like Llama are fueling a new wave of AI applications that prioritize flexibility, transparency, and developer control,” says Jon Jones, VP & Global Head of Startups and Venture Capital at AWS. “This collaboration between AWS and Meta will empower founders to turn bold ideas into transformative products faster. By combining world-class technical mentorship, powerful compute, and strategic go-to-market support, we're giving startups the tools to shape the future of AI.”

What are the benefits of being part of the program?

The startups that are selected will receive dedicated support as they build specific applications leveraging Llama models over the span of six months. Benefits include:

  • Up to $200,000 in AWS promotional credits
  • Office hours with Meta and AWS engineers
  • Access to a dedicated Meta Discord channel for technical support
  • Access to AWS's Solution Architects, Generative AI thought leaders and founders, and Llama experts

What is the criteria to be eligible?

The program is open to startups in the U.S. that have raised money and are ready to execute on their ideas with Llama. Eligible startups must also be less than ten years old and available for a 6-month virtual program. We’ll evaluate applications based on the potential impact of an idea and the technical ability of a team. Selected startups must sign up for AWS Activate to take advantage of the promotional credits offering.

Where can I submit an application?

Applications are due by August 8, 2025. AWS will notify selected startups by August 29, 2025. Participant startups will then have six months to build their use cases. We look forward to hearing from you!
